Jim Marshall founding
partner As a
former business owner and a consultant for nonprofit accounting software companies for seven years, Jim traveled throughout
northern New England learning firsthand the reporting requirements that many nonprofits face
on a regular basis. With his expertise in time management and problem solving, combined with his knowledge of accounting software, including QuickBooks, Jim develops and implements
customized plans for nonprofit organizations. Jim specializes in creating reporting systems that meet the needs of management and the
Board as well as comply with federal filing requirements. He has developed an extensive and varied client base and works
closely with CPA firms to assist in the audit process. Jim has served as a volunteer and director on a variety of local and regional non-profit
boards including the Land Conservation Investment Program Task Force (Chairman), Meredith Zoning
Board of Adjustment, Meredith Kiwanis Club and most recently Concord Kiwanis Club. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Jim is currently
a Candidate for MS in Accounting, BA at Southern New Hampshire University.

Fran Marshall partner
Fran
brings more than 20 years of development and communication experience to HJ Marshall Associates (HJMA) with a particular emphasis
on planning and implementing development programs with a focus on annual giving, multi-year operational support and stewardship.
She has created, launched and developed sustainable annual development programs for a variety of small and medium non-profits,
planned 75+ meetings, conferences and special events, and has extensive Raisers Edge and GiftWorks experience, reporting and
analysis.
HJMA provides transitional services
to address a need that many nonprofits face; how to maintain operations when the organization’s development department
is under-staffed. Fran will fill the gap, temporarily providing day-to-day continuity while management is freed up to concentrate
on the recruiting process. Prior to joining HJMA, Fran served as Development Director
for more than four years with the Concord Community Music School, one of the top 30 community music schools in the country.
Her previous development positions with the American Ground Water Trust, a national education organization headquartered
in Concord, NH, Spaulding Youth Center Foundation in Tilton, NH and the Lakes Region Conservation Trust in Meredith, NH provide
a vital perspective in helping to grow nonprofit organizations. She has served
as a director on a variety of local, state and regional non-profit boards including, American Cancer Society (Belknap Unit),
CONFR (Council on Fundraising), Environmental Federation of New England, NH Golf House and most recently, Richard McDonough
Scholarship Foundation.
